This piece is inspired by my memories of the Avila mountain in Caracas, Venezuela. It is one of the most iconic views in Venezuela, especially Caracas, because no matter where you are in the city, you can find a stunning view of the mountain. The best place to view them is from the porch at my grandparents' house. It is tradition for every Venezuelan to have an Avila painting in their home.
I used a mix of greens, browns, blacks, and blues to capture the depth of the landscape and depict the true beauty of the mountains. As a traveling artist, I find inspiration from landscapes and love portraying the environments from all different countries.
